Card Making

Filed under: Katie,Things She Did — by Papa Urchin @ 9:42 pm

I came home today and found the girls in the basement making cards. Jen and Katie had been putting in eyelets so of course Katie had a plastic hammer and was pretending to pound in pretend eyelets. Next thing I know, I’m wearing a hard hat helping – with Dora and the Super Babies laid out on the table. More engaged in my conversation with Jen than the card making I didn’t really notice what was going on, until I hear the combo circular/chainsaw. [What is that thing anyway? I assume it was designed by someone who has never had the testosterone rush that is the tool coral at Home Depot. More likely an overzealous, underpaid, outsourced toy designer. Armed with a tool crib catalog and this fantastic idea of something called “power tools” they built a hybrid circular/chain saw.] When asked what she was doing, Katie simply replied “making cards.”

Now generally I hate camera phone images, but the lo-fi security camera picture really seems to fit the scene here.
